1st NAMA-UAE Basketball Tournament Held
On 19th June 2009, the 1st Basketball Tournament of NAMA-UAE was held at Dubai Karate Center near Safa Park, Dubai. After only a month of preparation, the basketball tournament was finally realized.The aim of the tournament is to have a camaraderie and/or get together amongst Mapuans in the UAE. There are seven teams that have participated and these are;
- McDermott Stags
- Tora Tora Blazers
- Band Aid Team Pilipinas
- JT Metro
- Freshmen
- Ralossyob
- Sigmans
111th Philippine Independence Day Celebration Overall Chairman Dante Delizo and Sponsorship Chairman Cherry Pye Torres were invited to provided an inspirational talk and open the tournament with a ceremonial toast. The program of activities was succesfully completed. The tournament started with a parade by all teams at 4:00 PM with the display of respective banners and off course the muse.
The tournament will run for at least 3 months and we hope that this will be just the beginning of many activities that NAMA-UAE hope to achieve.
Lastly, kudos to all Officers, advisers and members who have put there best effort to make this tournament possible.

MESSAGE from NAMA-UAE elected president
To All Fellow Mapuans,
On 4th December 2008, we have reached another milestone in holding the election of officers of NAMA-UAE Chapter for 2009-2010. First of all, we thank our Lord for paving the way in the formation of NAMA-UAE Chapter and for the successful holding of the election of officers.
There were at least 84 Mapuans representing various fields of professions present during the first general meeting. Philippine Consulate in Dubai has sent its representative Consul Butch Bandillo.
